We are looking for hardworking, energetic, compassionate and experienced L&D Registered Nurses to work in the surrounding Houston areas.
General Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care to patients in compliance with professional practice standards
- Promote a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach towards patients, families and all members of the health care team
- Assist physicians with exams and patient care
- Responsible for the daily care of patents
- May be required to administer medication
- Monitor vital signs of patients
- Work with other members of the healthcare team
- Ensure that the needs of the infant and mother’s family are met
- Providing support to patient and families
- Support an atmosphere which promotes a homelike environment
- Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job; may be altered or reassigned depending on the needs
Requirements for the L&D RN:
- 3+ years Labor and Delivery experience required
- BLS required
- NRP required
- ACLS preferred
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (AWHONN Inter FM Course) Required
- C-Section experience
- Circulate required
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, high risk environment
- Triage Experience
