Top Vacation Spots Around the World


Anyone need a complete get away? How about a vacation of a lifetime? We have put together a list of destinations that should be on your list. Let us know what you think! And if you are racing to book your ticket, book an extra ticket for me!

Bora Bora

You see this resort every time you log into Pinterest or flipping through travel magazines. This place is absolutely stunning and breathtaking in every way. Living corridors extends out over turquoise waters and nestled amongst palm trees and bright tropical flowers.

Activities:

Breakfast by Canoe- start each day with an unforgettable breakfast brought to the private balcony of your overwater bungalow or villa by an outrigger canoe. Often bedecked in flowers, the canoe carries the staff who serve fresh fruits, pastries, and juices while the surrounding waters begin welcoming the rising South Pacific sun.

Sailing- Bora Bora’s lagoon is a very popular anchorage for both round-the-world and avid vacation sailors. If chartering your own sailboat in Raiatea, Tahiti, or Moorea, the deep, wide pass and calming lagoon is a natural stop. You can also rent a Hobie Cat in Bora Boar or take a half-day or sunset cruse around the lagoon on a giant catamaran, complete with music.

Diving- because of the abundance of large marine life, diving within the waters of the most beautiful lagoon in the world is on many divers “must do” list. During the dives, it is common to be joined by legions of gigantic manta rays gliding gracefully within arm’s reach while schools of reef sharks parade by.

 

U.S. Virgin Islands

Made up of three islands; St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas, the U.S. Virgin Islands is a paradise with so much more to offer than a traditional beach vacation.

Activities:

Boat Rental- rent a boat, power or sail, and plan your own itinerary; stop at a few snorkeling spots, have a nice picnic on a deserted beach or a fun family trop to a neighboring island. Boats come provided with coolers and food and drinks. Most rental companies require that you have navigation experience. However, you can hire a captain for an extra fee.

Snorkeling-

From the new, never snorkeled before to seasoned snorkelers there is something for everyone. Rock coast lines, near shore reefs, off shore cays and sunken items like ships and planes provide beautiful and varied snorkeling opportunities. View gorgeous underwater gardens of coral and visit with the resident; turtles, rays, octopuses, moray eels and an abundance of fish large and small.

Watersports- parasailing, wave runners and dinghy rentals are available for rental use. Go parasailing and experience the thrill of flying high above the brilliant blue waters of the Caribbean. Enjoy breathtaking views the Virgin Islands have to offer. Set course and see secluded beaches and pristine bays on your own schedule.

Copper Mountain

Let’s make a quick change from our bathing suits to snow suites! On slope, Copper Mountain’s terrain is naturally divided for all abilities and includes fantastic bowl skiing. Off slope, this mount features three villages with accommodations such as restaurants, bars, shops, and a kids-only lodge. With an annual snow fall average around 280 inches, this ski resort attracts ski and snowboard enthusiasts each winter. Copper Mountain is one of the largest and least crowded resorts in Summit Country- a place know throughout the world for premier skiing and riding.

Activities:

Skiing / Snowboarding- the main reason families flock to Copper Mountain is to hit the slopes. With 300 days of sunshine in Colorado, this resort is a great way to enjoy the outdoors with family. You don’t have to be a professional to enjoy the mountain; beginner classes are available all season long. You can purchase four day packs which include four days of skiing and riding at Copper Mountain and pass holder deals and discounts all season long.

Summer Activity Pass- passes offer unlimited access to bungee, mini golf, bike haul, Diggler, scenic chair rides, lake activities and climbing wall, PLUS one zip line and Go Kart ride for each day the pass is purchased for.

·         Bungee Jump- flip, spin, and fling yourself into the blue, Copper Mountain summer sky.

·         Bike Haul- enjoy downhill biking – they will haul you and your mountain bike up the chair lift, then enjoy your ride down the mountain

Santorini, Greece

Santorini is one of the most beautiful islands in Greece. Santorini is located in the South Aegean Sea and part of the Cyclades Islands. With intriguing history, volcanic landscape, breathtaking sunsets and deep blue sea - these are just some of the reasons to escape to this immaculate destination.

Activities:

Ancient Thira- Separating Kamari from Perissa is Ancient Thira. This archaeological site is home to ruins from the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine ears. Stroll down Ancient Thira’s main street and you’ll pass Roman baths, old mosaic houses and even an old agora (marketplace). And not to mention the spectacular views from the Terrace of the Festivals, where ceremonies were help in honor of the Greek god Apollo, son of Zeus and the god of light.

Boat Tours- the boat tours in Santorini take place aboard traditional boats or luxury catamarans depending on what you select. The tours give you a chance to see the soul-stirring volcano from up close or swim in the hot springs. During the boat tour, you will be given the chance to admire the majestic sunset over a glass of wine and snacks or buffet dinner.

Santorini Festival- Every Friday from May to October, Volcan Wines organize parties on their property. You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the winery, where you will visit the museum and taste three of their best wines. You will also be able to taste local delicacies in their light buffet. You can drink wine and then dance with their dance troupe who will be dressed in traditional local costumes. The whole celebration comes to a head with a breaking of plates, and the charter will take you back to the door of your hotel at the end of the night.

Dominica Republic

All-inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic are popular lodging options where one upfront rate covers your accommodations, means, snacks, beverages and many activities.  Bridging the gap between the Old and New Worlds, the DR was originally inhabited by Taino Indians and in 1492 was discovered by Christopher Columbus, who name the islands Hispaniola.

It combines the contact of nature, flying into the forest, swimming in cascade and having lunch in the great “El Valle” beach, with the best Dominican food, such as fresh fish, lobsters, and fruits of the place.

Hoyo Azul – Cape Cana- experience the beauty of Cap Cana’s landscape from behind the wheel of your own buggie in this unique Cap Cana Buggie Adventure. After being picked up from your hotel, you will receive brief safety instructions from the guide you get into your buggie and get ready to start your adventure. You will be driving through Cap Cana’s unforgettable landscape, surrounded by tropical forests, beautiful beaches and more. After exploring beautiful beaches, you pass through dry forest, then humid forest, and finally arriving at a beautiful Cave named Hoyo Azula. This is a natural pool, with crystal clear blue water, formed at the base of a giant cliff. The crystal clear water is so tempting it is impossible not to jump in.

Horseback-riding tour- ride a horse along tropical white-sand beaches on this day trip from Punta Cana. Enjoy gorgeous scenery, amazing horses and friendly guides on this family friendly outing. After a pickup at your hotel, you travel by open-top jeep about 45 minutes to Rancho Caribeno where you’ll meet the horses and your experienced guide, who will select the right horse for your skill level. You will then follow your guide along a local road to the beach as you take in the scenes of local Dominican life.
