Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Pulse Staffing has exciting career opportunities for an Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse. We have both day and night (12 hour Per Diem) shifts available.

We are looking for hardworking, energetic, compassionate and experienced Intensive Care Unit RNs to work in a state of the art private acute care surgical hospital in central Houston. Complimentary parking provided.

General Responsibilities:

• Responsible for caring for patients and their families in a variety of settings
• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans for patients
• Adheres to the Board of Registration in Nursing rules and regulations
• Provide guidance and directions to the nursing assistants in the unit

Essential Duties:

• Providing adequate care to patients
• Monitoring and observing patients
• Supporting the health care team
• Insure that life support equipment function properly
• Observe patient’s vital signs

Other Duties:

• Meet on going requirements to maintain current certifications
• Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job; may be altered or reassigned depending on needs

Job Requirements  

• Current TX RN Licensure
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
• ACLS Certification
• Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills
• Minimum of one (2) year acute care experience in the area of expertise within the last three years preferred
• Current BLS card; current ACLS certification
• Must meet Pulse’s hiring criteria
